Closing out the year.

We've had so much fun this holiday season. I can't believe it's over (although I'm glad.) I love Christmas and I love this time of year, but as soon as it's done, I'm ready for the next year to start! I'm really looking forward to 2010. We have a lot of fun things planned for our little threesome and I can't wait to get started.

I guess I'll post pictures of our holidays... just to wrap up the year.

A few days before Christmas we got some more snow and Izze had been begging to go sledding for a while. We took her out that night and she had a blast.

Too soft for a man.

Sledding.

Weee!!!!

Down down down.

Of course every year Jeremy's grandparents have a big family party. It's fun to see how many new additions the family gets. It just gets bigger and bigger. Izze was really timid this year (last year too actually). She had been sick all day, but perked up a few hours before the party, so we decided to give it a go anyway. Jeremy's grandpa dresses up as Santa (Izze would rather she and Santa maintain a long distance relationship).

No... don't tell me, he's behind me...

Not lovin' him.

Avoiding Santa, please.

On Christmas Eve we ate a big dinner at Jeremy's mom and dad's house. We're definitely coming to have some of our traditions for our little family. When we came home Izze opened her jammies, sprinkled some reindeer dust on our lawn, laid out some carrots for the reindeer and put out some silk nog and cookies for Santa. We bought a movie but it was so late and honestly the movie was on Nick Jr a million times we'd already watched it 3 or more times. I'm praying next year we will have rid our home of Dora (so I returned it!! WIN!!!)

Carrots, Cookies, Silk Nog

I'm sure Santa was one of the luckiest kids on the planet this Christmas. SHE GOT A DRUM SET!! Santa was very generous! :)

Delivered.

This is "Christmas Face" It is the face you aim for on Christmas morning.

Now we're really looking forward to a fun New Years Eve party. BRING ON 2010!!!!!!

Ok... really.

We had a lot of hiccups with getting internet here. Everyone thought everywhere in Daybreak had free fiber optic internet. I guess there are a few streets that just don't get it.

We finally have it, and I am committed to keep this blog up. I love reading all the blogs of our family and friends. So I need to give to get right?

And you know our blogs are the best with pictures of the cute little people in our lives...

Without further ado.

I have several pictures from this summer.

First off, my little fishy girl. She can swim underwater about three feet by herself. She loves going underwater and could swim all day if I'd let her. You can really see her missing tooth here now.

Donut Falls

For Jeremy's birthday Izze got him the DJ Lance Hat, she was so excited. She thought, this is something she really wanted, so she knew her dad would love it too.

I know she's got a booger face, that's what happens when you ride against the wind. I didn't do a thing to this photo, she's just so darn beautiful! :D I can't help but brag!

Showing me the rock she found, she loves painting rocks and giving them as gifts. You can also see her name bracelet I found at the farmer's market. I never thought it a million years I'd find Isadora, and I did... all I had to do was wait until the Ecuadorian family started a booth of these!

Izze told me she wanted to grow out her hair... but we both decided on a whim to get her hair cut, short and choppy.

She loves riding her bike. We ride it almost every night.

and even though this is out of order. We got her dance class pictures back.

I'll update a lot more often, smaller too. Izze dance class is starting up again soon. The classes I teach are up and running. I'm taking a few classes now too. We're always staying busy, so hopefully that means we'll have a lot to post about. :D

Winter Dance Recital.

I love teaching dance. I really do, but I'm not going to lie when I tell you I love the day after my recitals. It's such a weight off. :D I loved seeing all my girls in their sweet costumes and they all did so good, I was really proud. There were two little ladies who stole my heart entirely though. I think you know why.

Izze's dance was third or fourth in the program. She just might be a born performer. This has got to be one of the cutest things ever. If you can't find her... she's the excellent bum shaker who does her own thing.

Avery was near the end and she did so so good! She smiled and followed along. She looked darling in her costume. I'm a proud Aunt! Avery is the one of the left.

The next day it snowed and Utah started to look like Utah. :D Jeremy's grandma got us (and all of her kids and grandkids and their spouses) tickets to A Kurt Bestor Christmas. It was a lot of fun.

Afterwards we took Izze to see Santa. We've been talking about it since before Thanksgiving to prepare her for the moment. She has met Santa twice and she was happy to stay at a safe distance. Today she said she was ready. When we were second in line Izze started getting really nervous and fidgety and said to me really fast. "I'm scared" then "I'm going through that door" (There was a door way leading to Santa). I told her she was next and Santa was going to hold her on his lap while someone snapped a picture. She sat there nervous, but brave. When Santa asked her if she wanted toys she said no. I said, "Izze tell Santa what you want" "no..." Then she reached for me. The pictures were crap and for $19.99 I wish I would have remembered my camera! It was only in the car! But without further ado:

It's been a while

I haven't posted in a while... a long while.

Izze is a magician. She can make pretty much anything disappear. Cell phones, remotes, keys... memory cards to our camera and the real reason you visit this blog. I know you're wanting pictures.

Lucky for me, Jeremy surprised me with a new camera when he got his bonus this year. I'm so happy to have a camera, let alone a nice shiny new one!!!

We just got back from Las Vegas with Jeremy's parents for a WHOLE WEEK! We had a blast.

Jeremy got an i phone right before we went on vacation and he's loving it... I'm a little jealous, but only a little, I really wouldn't use all the functions on an i phone to justify buying a brand new one.

Izze has been a little wild women lately. She runs, she climbs, she tumbles and she's sassy! She is starting to say more words and she can sign quite a few words, her favorite words to sign are "more" and "please" which usually gets her more of a treat or something yummy. She's still a really picky eater, but she loves vegan cheese pizza and vegan mac and cheese (maybe she just loves vegan cheese). She loves vanilla soy milk, but isn't a big fan of chocolate. Her favorite toys are babies, balls, cars and three certain stuffed animals: Gigi Giraffe, Elle Taco and Ox.

Ok... so onto some pictures.

I'll have to leave you with some teasers until I can make a bigger picture post.

Ponytail

Izze Day 81

Izze's growing up so much. Today I pulled her hair in pigtails, like I do many days, but she pulled one out and lost the elastic... I had to improvise. We were getting new tires and everyone knows you cannot sacrifice THE CUTE when out in public... EVER. I pulled all of her hair back into one high ponytail. I can't believe it stayed.... I can't believe it was so cute... I can't believe how big she is.

I love this little lady.

We caught THE PLAGUE a few days ago, it was awful. On St. Patrick's Day Izze started the day off just fine, in her cute new green shirt from Old Navy

then in the car on the way home from my dance class she started throwing up all over. It didn't stop for the rest of the night and clear on through the morning. It was sad to see her throw up in her sleep. It scared me too, I barely slept I was worried she'd suffocate on her throw up.

Of course in the morning Jeremy had a really high fever and was achy from head to toe... he had caught the plague. I was fine... but something in my head told me I wasn't going to be. So while my little lady and sweet hubby were sickies and even Titus was throwing, I cleaned the house while I still could. Then it hit me... I threw up all night. Izze was better by then and she thought torture was in order. Until she realized that every time we got up to run to the bathroom it wasn't a game, she'd come and watch us... she' weird. Sometimes she'd hug our arms or touch our back... but then she was off.

It was our first experience of both of us being sick with a totally healthy child... the house was clear evidence of this. Both Izze and Titus destroyed it, ripping up toilet paper IN. EVERY. ROOM. Titus thought it would be a great time to revert to peeing on something.

AWFUL STUFF!!

Me and Izze and Titus are back to 100% but Jeremy still has a bit of a cold and no voice.

It's days like those that really press me to keep our family a one kid family.... I mean among other things, but if I was on the fence that would have been the call. MAN! haha.

:D

Izze and her grandpa

This is so cute. (click on the picture to see it bigger) Izze loves to "draw" and "color" last night she was drawing on some paper, lying on her belly. Then Grandpa came and showed her how to draw funny faces. She really loved it. It was adorable.

Of course she's got a piece of purple tulle wrapped around her waist, because she was asking to wear it.

What a fun little lady.

This post is going to be long and crammed full...

I hope everyone had a great Christmas! I know we did. We're kind of glad it's all wrapping up, because it sure can be hectic. We ate a lot of good food and spent a lot of time with family and also missing family too (we can't wait for all of you to come back to Utah!!!) We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at Jeremy's parent's house and then we spent the afternoon and dinner at my parents. Izze got some really awesome things, some of her favorites are a Cabbage Patch Newborn, a toy cell phone, a Little People's bus and a play vacuum. We haven't set up her bed yet, we're going to let her have her normal routine for the rest of the year, before we ATTACK! Jeremy and I got some really great gifts too, it seems that a lot of our gifts were centered around the family, it makes me feel so good to have a family of my own now and to be able to share our traditions and pass them down.

Izze wasn't too impressed with Santa Claus this year, but soon enough she'll know how magical and how awesome he is.

It was sure great to see everyone we saw this Christmas and we can't wait until we're all together again... probably next Christmas everyone will be here! Now... onto the pictures and videos!

They're backwards in order...

Now onto the videos, first of Izze visiting Santa Claus at Macy's in New York, then of Izze putting on a hat, then of Izze getting into cupboards, then of Christmas morning just as my camera battery dies.

The filming is kind of shaky, somehow youtube seems to accentuate when Jeremy or I get shaky when filming, but you get the idea.

Well it's lunch time and Izze is getting antsy...  so I better go feed the beast!
Bye everyone.
