Bitty Ballerina

Izze got a new leotard. She's the cutest little ballerina I've seen!

She didn't really want to cooperate, but I did get a few pictures.

Izze Day 20

Izze Day 20

I gave her a snack and put her in the high chair while I was making bread and PURPLE COWS!!! :D Even over the loud blender and kitchen mixer and clanking of pots and pans she managed to fall asleep in her high chair. She's only done this two times, but this is the first time I got to witness it. The really cute thing is that her little feet were kicking in her sleep. She must have been dreaming about running.

I sure love this little girl, she keeps my hands full, but she's a lot of fun. For the record... my bread turned out great, I've never made bread before and I made banana chocolate chip bread and it was yummy! Now that Izze's eating with us and she pretty much eats what we eat I've really been learning to cook. When Jeremy and I first got married I could ramen noodles and cereal and that was it! Now I'm more confident and I'm trying new things I even use a slow cooker at least once a week! I'm growing up! :D haha!

Well, I think Izze's waking up, so I better go check on her. :D

Keeping up.

Here is Izze on Day 11. Click on the picture to see full size.

Izze's learning how to eat with utensils. Tofu scramble seemed like a good idea until it started to crumble, it really seemed like a bad idea the minute Izze pulled the bowl up and all her food went flying all over the kitchen! Even Titus couldn't clean up that mess!!

Izze has been doing the actions to Itsy Bitsy Spider, and I finally caught it on camera when Jordan came to visit the other day. Don't mind how messy our desk is. I've been doing some major spring reorganizing and I was right in the middle of it right there.

We finally have Izze's one year appointment today (she's 14.5 months!) so we'll get the whole scoop on how she's growing and developing, and hopefully our new doctor will have some advice on how to get her to sleep through the night--in--her--own--bed!!

And now? A trip to the D.I. Maybe even two trips!

Whew!

What a trouble maker.

Izze day 8

I came to check on her and somehow she'd reached up, probably climbed up, and pulled down a box of Jr. Mints Deluxe chocolates. She had one entirely in her mouth. I don't even know how many she ate, and I'm not entirely sure she didn't eat the foil too!

She's been quite the handful lately. She is SOOOO strong! She can hold her own weight by hanging, and she can even pull herself up... LIKE A CHIN UP! I am IN TROUBLE! My mom says, it's just payback because I was the same way. I caught a video the other night of Izze climbing up a large magnet board we got for Christmas. I'll post it later this week.

Even if she's a little trouble maker, she's my little trouble maker and I love her.

Big Girl Bed.

Izze Day 5

She's not terribly afraid of it, but she was very excited to see the crib go. We had to rearrange her room and she was kind of nervous, but I can tell she's happy with the new set up.

365 (366 actually) days of photos.

Izze day 4

I have to be fair, so I'm making sure to take one of myself (self-portraits project) and one of Isadora (project 365 kids) and also one of Jeremy and then of something random. I've done 4 days so far and I'm enjoying it so far. I just wish I had a little nicer of a camera, because it's a challenge getting quality pictures to post in the groups.

This picture is day 4 of Izze when we were waiting to take a bus (which we enjoy doing, don't worry).

You can see the rest of our photos here

It'll be really interesting to see how we change this year and it should be really fun too.

I'll try to post updates as it's going.

Happy New Year

We had a really fun New Year's Eve! Izze tried fought as hard as she could to stay up, and although she started acting like a zombie, (a cranky, tiny and cute zombie) she managed to stay up to ring in the new year. We tried to put her in a crib at Grandma and Grandpa Halliday's house, but she scaled it, when I walked in to check on her, she had both feet on top of the crib, just barely ready to fall out. And this is why we're giving a toddler bed a try!
She finally fell asleep around 12:30 while we all played a game of Killer Bunnies. PLAY THIS GAME!!! It is so much fun! We have Kristy and Spence to thank for getting us hooked on this game.
We have two family new year's resolution to get out and do things as a family more often and to try and encourage Isadora to sleep through the night... in her OWN bed. One step at a time!

But before I go, I just had to share Izze having a really really messy snack. We found these fruit and gel cups that are kind of like jell-o, but they're vegan! Izze tried to eat one with a spoon, and had a little too much fun with it.
